The three-day observance also included a Gospelfest, featuring a performance by the Union Baptist Church Inspirational Choir at Mount Hope AME Zion Church in White Plains and a family day of activities, exhibits, seminars and entertainment at, Westchester County Center in White Plains. AAMW is headed by David Cheek of Greenburgh and counts among its membership men in business, finance, politics, government and education. Members work together on social issues affecting minorities in Westchester as well as fostering alliances with nonminority people and organizations. Funds raised at the dinner dance will be used for the group's work, including health clinics, youth forums, educational work- MENTAL HEALTH GROUPS CELEBRATE RECENT MERGER To celebrate the recently completed merger of two Westchester County mental health agencies Futura House of White Plains and Human Development Services of Port Chester a dinner was held Jan. 20 at the Davenport Club in New Rochelle.
Administrative offices for the combined agencies Human Development Services of Westchester -will be housed in Port Chester. Honored at the event were founder and former director of HDS of Port Chester, Henry Hobbs of Port Chester, a retired Methodist minister, and Helen Vogel of Scarsdale, a Futura House founding board member. The new agency offers housing and rehabilitative services to Westchester residents recovering from serious mental illnesses and sponsors a clubhouse program that assists recovering persons in obtaining employment and education. Working with the staff of 60 is director Andrea Kocsis of New Rochelle and deputy director Kathy Pandekakes of Stony Point. Among those attending the dinner were David Rasmussen of Port Chester, board president and a lawyer with Schiavetti, Geisler, Corgan, Soscia, DeVito, Gabriele and Nicholson; Thaddeus Kuczinski of White Plains, a school administrator and immediate past board president of HDSW; and Letty Zander of Edgemont, event chairman and former director of the White Plains Hospital Continuing Day Treatment Program.

"Fifty years it's unbelievable, and it doesn't get any easier!" he says with a laugh. "No, really, we've had a good marriage." For her part, says Toni, "Bob has satisfied my every wish all these years." One of those wishes was to celebrate their golden anniversary at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan, where they spent their wedding night.
