Why I Love Weight Watchers
People ask me why I love the Weight Watchers plan. My reasons are pretty simple. I can eat real food. Satisfying those cravings is easy when you can have a little something sweet.
Weight loss is hard! Whether you have 100 pounds to lose or you're struggling with that last 15, it is not easy. And when you have a family to cook for on a daily basis, it's even more difficult.
The biggest problem with most diets is that you can't really eat along with your family. You make them dinner and then eat something separately that's on the list of what you can eat.
This is just another aspect that I love about Weight Watchers. Your family will never know you are feeding them healthier food because it simply tastes so good. Make this Chicken Pot Pie recipe and tell me it isn't one of the best things you've ever tasted!
What is the Weight Watchers Plan?
I guess there is a chance that you've never heard of Weight Watchers, especially if you are not from the US.
The Weight Watchers plan assigns Points to foods as well as meals. Through the plan, you figure out how many Points you are allowed in order to lose the amount of weight you want to lose.
When I had was pregnant with my first child I had some complications as I was vegetarian and wasn't eating enough protein.
Basically, my daughter was just smaller than she should have been at that point in my pregnancy. My doctor told me to eat as much protein as I could, and I did. Oh, I did!
After giving birth, I was left with about a 40 pound weight gain. 40 POUNDS.
Weight Watchers helped me take that weight off, and I'll be forever grateful.
There are actually hundreds of Weight Watchers recipes! I try to gather the best ones I find and share them here with you.
If you find one you love, please send me a link so I can try it, too. I am always looking for new recipes to try.

Weight Watchers Cookies Baking Tips
Double the Batch
If you have a cookie monster in your house (like I do), just make a double batch and freeze any of these so you can pull them out for the family.
You can freeze the cookies or just freeze the dough. I like to put the dough in a roll like the premade cookies you can buy. Slice them and bake them!
If there are healthier cookies readily available, there's no need to buy the higher calorie versions, right?
Tip for Portion Control
And here's a tip to help you with portion control. Place the the dough cookies on the cookie sheet (watch the size- this makes 36 cookies) but don't bake them. Instead, freeze the cookies right away.
Once the cookies are frozen, put them in a plastic zip-close freezer bag. Any time you want a fresh-baked cookie, take one out of the freezer and bake it. Not only will you be able to enjoy a delicious freshly baked cookie on-demand, but you won't be tempted to enjoy five! You're welcome!
Buy Good Baking Sheets
Also, make sure you have a good quality cookie sheet. You'll want even baking for your delicious treats.
A cookie sheet that doesn't distribute heating evenly can ruin half the cookies you spent time making. It really does make a difference!
I've also fallen in love with these baking mats! They keep your cookie sheets in good condition and save money on foil or parchment paper.
